HighAir Ground Trampoline Park opens in Minot
MINOT, N.D. - The HighAir Ground Trampoline Park enjoyed its grand opening Friday morning in the next step to revitalize the lots across from Oak Park on 4th Avenue Northwest.
"That was really one of the deciding factors in coming over here is, we know that for so long the Oak Park area had, you know, so many good times for so many people, and then to just, you know, kinda see it sitting and nothing getting done with it, it just worked out perfect. Oak Park's gonna be hopping again, and we're really proud to be a part of that," said Nathan Heinert, co-owner.
"This is a really good thing to come to this community. It's just another thing to do in Minot, especially when it's cold out. It's just a nice place you can drive down to right in the middle of town. Take your kids, family and just have a good time," said Brandin McDonald, trampoline enthusiast.Heinert says a typical trampoline park project can take 18 months to complete, but with the team finishing up in six, the Magic City can enjoy an extra winter's worth of fun.
"That's one of the main reasons that we pushed so hard. We've heard time and time again 'there's nothing to do in North Dakota in the winter.' Well, there are things to do, and we just want to add to that," Heinert said.
It's a unique experience for Minot residents to stay in motion in the free-style jump zone, dodgeball, and basketball courts too.
"They have a lot to offer for people of all ages. It's just low-impact, fun exercise. Just come down - learn, teach yourself how to do flips and stay in shape really," McDonald said.
You can check out HighAir Ground's first Neon Night Friday night at 8 p.m.
More details for parties and time slots are available on the park's website and Facebook page.
